The Noren take their name from the pieces of fabric traditionally used in Japanese homes as curtains to separate spaces, replacing walls, doors, or windows. Inspired by this Japanese tradition, the Noren are lightweight and decorative lighting structures with upholstered sound-absorbing panels that, when combined, help to articulate space while managing sound and light.
