This project, by Hilatura Studio, involved the complete restoration of a historic mountain house, covering both the interior and exterior. Inside, the original walls and partitions were meticulously restored, and the space was reconfigured to meet modern needs. Contemporary bathrooms and a fully renovated kitchen were added.
The main space, spread over three levels, received special attention in terms of lighting. A sophisticated lighting system was designed to highlight the natural materials and textures, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhances the inherent beauty of the mountain architecture. At the heart of the home, a Skybell Circle was installed—a modern chandelier that hangs majestically, providing not just illumination but also an artistic focal point. This centerpiece brings a modern contrast to the rustic setting, blending the old with the new harmoniously.
In the bedroom, Platet sconces were incorporated, known for their elegant and minimalist design. These sconces not only complement the home’s central lighting but also provide soft, diffused light, ideal for creating a relaxing and serene ambiance in the rest areas. This carefully selected lighting combination throughout the home ensures that every corner is not only well-lit but also aesthetically enhanced, reflecting a balance between functionality and design.
