Noren take its name from the pieces of fabric that were traditionally used as curtains in Japanese homes to divide different areas, replacing walls, doors or windows. Inspired by this Japanese tradition, Noren are lightweight, decorative light structures with sound-absorbing panels which, when combined together, help to coordinate the space by integrating sound and light. The aim of this project is to meet the needs of communal areas and workplaces, by providing good light and softening ambient noise through a decorative element that is able to resolve such issues.
