Design Centered on People and the Environment

At Bover, we design sustainable lighting solutions with a focus on both people and the planet. All our designs are born in Barcelona, a unique setting that inspires us and keeps us connected to a growing awareness of the need to protect our planet.

From the initial concept, our goal is to enhance living spaces by prioritizing products made with recyclable and reusable materials, while maintaining the lighting standards that have defined our brand over the years. Today, without compromising the essence of our long-lasting designs, we are focused on offering more energy-efficient components that help reduce the overall carbon footprint.

Moreover, our artisanal production processes allow us to optimize energy use and further minimize our environmental impact.

Extending Product Lifespan

Our lighting is designed to be timeless and enduring, reducing the need for raw materials over time. This philosophy is closely tied to our surroundings and reflects our belief in a form of design that is sustainable, human-centered, and environmentally respectful.

Prioritizing easily replaceable electrical systems helps extend the lifespan of our products and ensures easier long-term maintenance.

Smart Engineering for Better Recycling

Our lighting fixtures incorporate smart engineering that allows for easy dismantling, making it simpler to recycle individual components at the end of their lifecycle.

The modular design of certain models allows specific parts to be replaced or upgraded without needing to discard the entire fixture. This not only prolongs product lifespan and simplifies maintenance but also reinforces our commitment to sustainable production.

Sustainable Packaging

Packaging is an integral part of our product design—not only aesthetically, but also as a key element in our sustainability strategy. By 2030, our goal is for 100% of our packaging to be sustainable and responsibly sourced.

Use of Recycled Materials

In recent years, we've adopted a multi-faceted approach to incorporating low-impact materials::

Weight reduction: We've achieved a 20% reduction in shrink wrap thickness across all purchases, maintaining protection while using less material.

Recycled and recyclable materials: We use strapping certified under ECO245 standards.

Reduced plastic usage: We've prioritized paper and cardboard—sourced from FSC-certified, responsibly managed forests—over plastics.

Improved aesthetics and functionality: We’ve implemented solutions like paper-based tape and ties, eliminating the need for plastic alternatives.
